Event Description:
Tuesday, April 14th, SOBs welcomes Puerto Rican Reggae band, Cultura Profética for an intimate performance.
Puerto Rican Cultura Profética made its debut with the release of Canción de Alerta. The debut album was recorded in the famous Tuff Gong in Jamaica with Bob Marley’s sound engineer. Working in the studio that Marley made legendary the group was inspired. The album was a critical and commercial success with several singles being featured on radio. They returned to Kingston in 1999 for their second album, Ideas Nuevas, in which they started fusing reggae with other rhythms like bossa nova and jazz.
In 2004, Cultura Profetica began to focus on the international stage, eventually moving temporally to Mexico. Their fourth studio album, M.O.T.A., was released in 2005 after a tour through that country. The bands tour dates bring out their faithful fans and crowds from all walks of life.
Come out on April 14th, to see first-hand this global phenomenon.
