New York, the Big Apple, is a place of various cultures and ethnic backgrounds. One of which is Latin American. At restaurants such as Guantanamera you can enjoy traditional dishes and live music, an experience to really open your mind and get you into the spirit of the Hispanic nations. New York boasts over one hundred various spots to enjoy the wonder of Latin American cuisine.

Latin American restaurants actually dominate neighborhoods such as Jackson Heights. These places range from Peruvian dishes to items from Uruguay and El Salvador. They serve some of the most incredible food you will experience. The cholado (a kind of fruit smoothie) and the pasqualino (a mix between a pizza and a quiche) being among them. Whatever your prefer, mild or hot, sweet or not, chances are you will find it at one of these restaurants.

It is well known that Latin American restaurants are lively and fun places, and you will find no exception in New York. The food and the atmosphere whisk you off into an ancient culture that has survived and flourished for thousands of years. There is nothing quite like these restaurants and New York hosts some of the best in the North East.
