MTV Tr3s is going all out, in a cool way, for Hispanic Heritage Month by featuring current Latinos who are making a difference.

So far they’ve featured Pulitzer Prize-winning author Junot Diaz, who received the honor for his book “The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao.” Also featured is In the Heights playwright Lin-Manuel Mirandawon, who won a Tony award for best play of the year.

Today, 16-year-old actress Selena Gomez received accolades on the MTV Tr3s website as the star of the Disney channel series “Wizards of Waverly Place.”
